Here is a brief overview of some of the most popular parks in Coal Harbour and a brief description of each:
Stanley Park is not only the most popular park in Coal Harbour, but it is also the most visited and largest park in all of Vancouver. Stanley Park was named “top park in the world” by Trip Advisor and is home to a wide range of activities, trails, beaches and more! Much of Stanley Park remains original West Coast rainforest and has remained untouched since its creation in 1888. Some of the highlights of the park are:
- The Vancouver Aquarium
- Multiple swimming beaches
- Parks and green space for picnics and children’s playgrounds
- Outdoor swimming pool
- Walking trails through original West Coast rainforest
The Seawall is the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path. It is over 28 km and is by far the most popular recreational spot in the city for both residents and tourists alike. Much of Coal Harbour’s real estate options overlook the Seawall and these homes provide easy and direct access to this gorgeous trail along the sea. Some of the highlights of the Vancouver Seawall include:
- Cycling, walking and jogging
- Extends from Coal Harbour to Spanish Banks (Vancouver’s most spectacular beach)
- Provides access to Science World, Stanley Park, Yaletown, and other spectacular Vancouver highlights
The portion of the Seawall that runs through Coal Harbour is over 5 km and provides access to some of Coal Harbour’s most prominent buildings such as Canada Place as well as some exceptional views of the city and surrounding landscapes.
Coal Harbour Park
Coal Harbour Park is situated beside the Coal Harbour Community Centre and overlooks the thriving marina of Coal Harbour. The Coal Harbour Park is a wonderful combination of open green space, seasonal flowers and unique native foliage. The park provides unparalleled views of the surrounding mountains as well as the Burrard Inlet and downtown Vancouver.
Harbour Green Park
Harbour Green Park lies on the edge of Coal Harbour and can be accessed by the Seawall. It has a seasonal spray park and is a wonderful place to watch floatplane arrivals and departures. Harbour Green Park also provides free short term (not overnight) moorage for leisure crafts and features a bistro styled restaurant.
Devonian Harbour Park
Devonian Harbour Park serves as the gateway between Stanley Park and Coal Harbour. Devonian Harbour Park has open green spaces that are ideal for picnicking as well as a host of unique and interesting sculptures and picturesque views of Coal Harbour.
